Orthopaedics at The Medical Center is a comprehensive, patient-centered service designed for patients who require orthopaedic surgery. The Medical Center offers a variety of treatment options ranging from total joint replacement surgery to physical therapy for patients who suffer from ailments and injuries of the bones and joints. If you are considering orthopaedic surgery, you'll find our commitment to compassionate and quality care second to none.

Features of Orthopaedic services include:

  • State-of-the-art surgical facilities
  • Advanced technologies such as minimally invasive computer-assisted knee replacement surgery
  • Highly trained orthopaedic surgeons
  • Highly skilled orthopaedic surgery staff and on-call team
  • Same day service for pre-registration, pre-admission and patient education
  • Pre- and post-operative education conducted by an orthopaedic nurse
  • Comprehensive rehabilitation services

Pre-operative classes can assist you with understanding the surgery and learning what to expect while in the hospital and after you return home. This education is provided to you during the pre-admission process, which includes pre-registration and pre-admission testing. During this time, necessary paperwork and all pre-operative testing such as lab and EKGs are completed. You'll be able to arrive the day of surgery focused on healing and rehabilitation.

*Blue Distinction Centers (BDC) met overall quality measures for patient safety and outcomes, developed with input from the medical community. A Local Blue Plan may require additional criteria for facilities located in its own service area; for details, contact your Local Blue Plan. Blue Distinction Centers+ (BDC+) also met cost measures that address consumers’ need for affordable healthcare. Each facility’s cost of care is evaluated using data from its Local Blue Plan. Facilities in CA, ID, NY, PA, and WA may lie in two Local Blue Plans’ areas, resulting in two evaluations for cost of care; and their own Local Blue Plans decide whether one or both cost of care evaluation(s) must meet BDC+ national criteria. National criteria for BDC and BDC+ are displayed on www.bcbs.com. Individual outcomes may vary. For details on a provider’s in-network status or your own policy’s coverage, contact your Local Blue Plan and ask your provider before making an appointment. Neither Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association nor any Blue Plans are responsible for non-covered charges or other losses or damages resulting from Blue Distinction or other provider finder information or care received from Blue Distinction or other providers.
