Mammograms

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among women in the United States. The good news is that regular screenings can help detect breast cancer early when most treatable. The American Cancer Society recommends that women aged 40 and older should have a mammogram every year.

Digital Mammography
The Medical Center offers the most advanced mammographic imaging technology available for the early detection of breast cancer with Lorad Selenia full field digital mammography.

Digital mammography has been show to be significantly better than traditional film at detecting early cancers among women who are premenopausal, are younger than age 50, or have dense breast tissue.
