The board certified physicians and nurse practitioners at Medical Center Psychiatry specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental health problems in adults, children and adolescents. The psychiatrists and nurse practitioners help patients understand the basis of their troubling problems or feelings and find solutions. Medical Center Psychiatry can help patients change behaviors or thought patterns, help patients explore the effect of past relationships and experiences on present behaviors, treat troubled relationships, or solve other problems.

These chemical imbalances often play a major role in mental health problems. Should an adult patient best be treated through hospitalization, the physicians at Medical Center Psychiatry can work with The Medical Center Behavioral Health Services to develop an effective treatment program to meet the patient's individual needs.
