4B is a 24-bed medical-surgical floor. Common diagnoses include pancreatitis, pneumonia, non-healing wound, abdominal pain, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), peripheral vascular disease, and post-operative hysterectomy.

All beds have the capability to be monitored by wireless telemetry.

4B utilizes a team approach to nursing care delivery and has a 1:6 nurse/patient ratio.
